hello, world
Hi, I'mMohammedSononuo.
Website Developer, passionate about crafting modern web experiences with React, TypeScript, and Node.js.
// who I am
About Me
Hey! I'm Mohammed Sononuo, a Management Information Systems student at An-Najah National University in Palestine. I discovered my passion for web development early on, and since then I've been obsessed with building things for the web.
I specialize in React and TypeScript on the frontend, with solid Node.js, Express, and PostgreSQL experience on the backend. I recently finished a 4-month intensive training at ITG working on production-grade applications.
My graduation project is a full-stack university portal featuring an AI academic chatbot and an NLP sentiment analysis engine built with XLM-RoBERTa — the most ambitious thing I've built, and I'm incredibly proud of it.
When I'm not coding, I'm learning. I genuinely believe in fast iteration and continuous improvement. I'm actively seeking entry-level roles or internships where I can contribute, grow, and ship meaningful products.

Featured Projects
A comprehensive university portal with role-based access control, an AI-powered bilingual academic chatbot, and an NLP sentiment analysis engine — the most complex system I've built.
- ▸5 user roles (Student, Community Leader, Supervisor, Dean, Admin) with 25+ database tables and RBAC
- ▸Bilingual AI chatbot (Arabic & English) with multi-turn conversation memory and intent detection for major selection guidance
- ▸NLP sentiment analysis using XLM-RoBERTa (Hugging Face) achieving 80–85% accuracy with automatic language detection
- ▸Events management with a 3-stage approval workflow (Draft → Pending → Approved/Rejected) and admin analytics dashboard
- ▸Real-time student communities chat with role-based permissions and JWT + Google OAuth 2.0 authentication
Full-stack e-commerce platform with multiple product categories, dynamic product listings, and a complete shopping flow including authentication and order management.
- ▸User authentication, shopping cart, and order management system
- ▸Responsive UI components with intuitive category navigation
- ▸Optimized performance through clean component architecture and efficient routing
A high-throughput PostgreSQL log ingestion and query service engineered to run under a strict 1 vCPU / 1GB RAM budget, with systematic performance diagnosis, partitioning, and zero-downtime retention.
- ▸Range-partitioned PostgreSQL schema handling 1M+ records with targeted BRIN/B-tree/GIN indexes under a strict 1 vCPU / 1GB RAM budget
- ▸Bulk log ingestion via unnest-based batch inserts sustaining 15,000+ logs/sec with zero failed requests under load
- ▸Keyset-based cursor pagination and date_bin time-bucketed aggregation for stable performance under concurrent write loads
- ▸Diagnosed CPU contention with EXPLAIN ANALYZE and docker stats, cutting aggregate query p95 latency from 1.8s to under 700ms
- ▸Zero-downtime data retention via partition DETACH/DROP, with a GitHub Actions CI/CD pipeline for automated builds and smoke tests
// my journey
Experience & Education
Hands-on training at ITG and Foothill, plus my degree at An-Najah — the path that shaped how I build for the web today.
B.Sc. in Management Information Systems (MIS)
An-Najah National University
// training experience
Front End Developer
ITG (Information Technology Group)
- ▸Completed an intensive 4-month program focused on modern front-end development with React, TypeScript, and Next.js
- ▸Built multiple hands-on projects including a To-Do application with component-based architecture and type-safe state management
- ▸Gained practical experience with Next.js SSR, file-based routing, and production-ready development standards
- ▸Practiced clean code principles, Git-based version control, and collaborative team workflows
Back End Developer
Foothill Technology Solutions, LLC.
- ▸Built and deployed practical back-end projects: an AI Agent in Python, a Pokedex in TypeScript, and a Blog Aggregator in TypeScript
- ▸Mastered core back-end concepts — designing HTTP servers and clients, SQL database management, and functional programming patterns in Python
- ▸Utilized Docker for containerization across training projects
- ▸Managed version control workflows using Git and GitHub throughout the program
